Amy Gomes
Amy Gomes is a passionate community advocate dedicated to advancing educational equity and strengthening connections across generations. With more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education, she brings deep expertise in inclusive practices, reflective relationship-based coaching, and collaborative teaming to her role as Community Engagement Coordinator for Early Childhood Service Corps.
Amy most recently served as an Early Childhood Special Educator at the district level, where she supported PK–K alignment, led professional learning communities, and advanced equitable practices for young learners with diverse needs. She currently holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado Denver with licensure as an Early Childhood Special Education Specialist. Amy has previously served on the Executive Board of the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children and continues to be an active member of the Council for Exceptional Children, Division for Early Childhood.
As a native Coloradoan, Amy has a strong commitment to the state its development of sustainable early childhood initiatives. In her new role, she is energized by the opportunity to cultivate innovative, intergenerational learning experiences that bring young children and older adults together in meaningful ways. She believes strong communities are built through connection, shared purpose, and reciprocal learning across generations — and she is committed to creating partnerships that foster belonging, dignity, and lifelong engagement for all.
